This site uses the PayPal Shopping cart. Your order will be processed through the PayPal system to ensure your safety. Note that you do NOT have to have a PayPal account to use the PayPal shopping cart. See below for alternative payment options. You may also check out through the shopping cart and simply mark the button that says " I do not have a paypal account" and then check out with your credit or debit card without using a paypal account.

Here's how it works to place an order using the PayPal shopping cart and PayPal buttons on this site...

  Artist made items are generally unique, one of a kind creations, so there will often only be one available for purchase. All items are subject to availability, which can change quickly. Items will remain visible for sale here until payment is received. If for any reason a paid item is no longer available, a full PayPal refund will be issued right away.

 I accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA and electronic checks through PayPal. When you make a purchase through the "Add to Cart" buttons, you are actually submitting the payment to PayPal, an independent payment organization, which uses secure Internet connections to protect your information. PayPal is a respected Internet company, and paying by PayPal ensures prompt service, (see more details about PayPal membership below). Direct snail mail checks and money orders welcomed as well; you must use the Contact page to request mailing address and verify correct shipping, (see details below).

FIRST METHOD TO MAKE A PURCHASE ON THIS SITE:

1. If the item you wish to purchase has an "Add To Cart" or "Buy Now" button, just click that button and the item will be added to a secure PayPal shopping cart. You may order one or more items, if available, and your shopping cart will show each purchase. You can also remove any item or change the quantity before checking out. If the item you wish to purchase does not have a visible "Add To Cart" button, please use the SECOND METHOD below.

 * The price for the item will total the item's cost and the USA S & H charge, plus any sales tax (Ohio residents only). If this is acceptable to you go on to step two.

* Most items are shipped based on weight and destination, or may have shipping included in the purchase price (regular First Class rate). 

* If purchasing two or more items, and the included S & H seems too high, contact me via email, (see Contact Page), instead of using the shopping cart "Checkout". Be sure to include your Zip Code so that I might be able to combine your order and reduce overall Shipping & Handling costs. Otherwise go on to Step Two.

  * Because of the nature of the PayPal shopping cart, and the fact that I may have only one of an item, I have added a default shipping fee on many single item "Add to Cart" offerings, which adds to the purchase price when you click the "Add to Cart" button. When purchasing two or more items, this can result in a higher S & H charge than necessary. However you MAY combine shipping, make one payment to have the total order shipped by sending an email as stated above, or by going directly to PayPal (www.paypal.com) and request an invoice from PayPal member jtpruittarts@aol.com .

  * Some items for sale here are shipped directly to you by a printing company or drop ship distribution center. Such manufactured items ship separate from hand crafted, Mystic Griffin site, artist made items, so have a 10 - 14 day turn around time on orders and will be marked as such. 

 If you want your order insured, click the Insurance "Add To Cart" button or contact.

* If you are using the shopping cart, are purchasing two or more items, want insurance, and the total purchase including S & H does not exceed $50.00 only add insurance to cart once. The entire shipment will be insured. If purchase total exceeds $50.00 and the "Insurance Button" is not for more than $1.35, add insurance twice.

If your delivery address is in the state of Ohio, sales tax for your purchase will be added by PayPal.  

 When you are finished shopping, review your order and, when satisfied that it is what you want, click the "Checkout" button in your shopping cart, and follow the instructions.

Q. Why does it ask me if I want to display "non-secure" items on the PayPal checkout page?

A. The non-secure items the message speaks of is, most likely, the Mystic Griffin site image banner that will show at the top of the page if you click to have it shown; otherwise the image will simply be a red X. Accepting or denying this image banner has no effect on your purchase, (or much of anything), it is just "for looks". It's termed as non-secure because Paypal didn't put it there.

  * If you would like your order to be shipped via different shipping, for example; by Priority Mail instead of First Class Mail, if First Class is the only option, please send an email to me to determine the cost of the alternate shipping method. I will provide the new S & H and ask you to place your order using the Second Method below.

When you're order is finished at PayPal you will be redirected to a Mystic Griffin site Confirmation page. You will receive notification email, from this site, as to status of your order after I/we receive your order. Normally notification is by email within 1 to 2 business days from receipt of the order. Most orders will be shipped within 7 to 10 business days of receipt of the order. However you should allow up to 6 to 8 weeks for your order to be shipped in full. You will be notified within 24 hours of shipping when your order was shipped to you. 

SECOND METHOD: 

 From time to time a PayPal programming error prevents the "Add to Cart" buttons on these Web pages from displaying. If you wish to make a purchase using PayPal when the "Add to Cart" buttons do not display, please send an email. Use the Contact link on the navigation bar at the left.

1. a. If there is no visable "Add To Cart" button but the S & H or weight is shown, and you accept the default shipping method, proceed to step 2.
2. b. If there is no S & H shown, or you want to use an alternate shipping method, or you want to combine two or more items to save on S & H, send an email inquiry from the Contact page and state your Zip Code.

3. Identify the merchandise item number, for example: "#MA001 Kokopelli Throw" and quantity you'd like to order.

4. I will email you the new S & H and total cost. Upon receipt of reply, go to step 4.

5. Click the PayPal link and follow PayPal's instructions
6. Include order information from step 2.
7. Add cost of merchandise to S & H for a total payment and, if applicable, add 7% OH State Sales tax (7% of total of merchandise + S & H). S & H is either specified for each item on the display page or determined by weight and location after you send an email inquiry with your Zip Code.

* Many purchases can be made in complete safety through PayPal. Be alert to scam artists who may try to get your PayPal account information. If something needs to be changed, added or corrected, make it only at PayPal. Never give out your passwords.

Accepted methods of payment include: PayPal (debit/credit cards through PayPal only), Personal Check or Money Order for USA only. I accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, VISA and electronic checks through PayPal. Paying by PayPal ensures prompt service.

* If you are paying by check, the order will be shipped after the check has cleared my bank. Please allow 7 to 10 business for checks to clear.

* Money orders and checks must be payable to "Theresa Pruitt".

* NOTE: You can also make a personal eCheck payment using PayPal, and check clearance is usually within 3-4 days.

* Use the Contact link in the navigation bar at the left to email me. Tell me the item(s) you are interesed in and provide your Zip Code. I will let you know if your selection is available and provide directions to order by check. When you confirm that you are purchasing, and paying by check, I will mark the item(s) "Sale Pending", and allow a reasonable time for your check to arrive and clear my bank. To assure fastest shipping when paying by check, use a money order or bank check; a personal check may delay shipping. Your correct order depends on the PayPal shopping cart choices or the accuracy of the information you give me when not using PayPal.

* A $30 NSF fee will be charged for checks returned for insufficient funds.

* Check the condition of the shipping container immediately upon receipt. If the container (box or mailing pouch) is beat, battered or torn, you should be prepared to file a claim with the shipping service; I/we almost always use the U.S. Postal Service, but may use UPS or even FedEx. I/We cannot be responsible for damage that occurs in transit. I/We offer an insurance opton with every purchase. Please take advantage of that option, and follow the shipping service's insurance claim procedure.  

* All of our merchandise is not new. I have attempted to adequately describe every offer I place online. I use terms such as "New", "Excellent", "Pre-Owned", "Very good", "Good", and "Acceptable" in most cases, to describe condition of items. Collectible previously owned items, old papers, and antiques are aged and there is always some risk when purchasing such items that they may not be as you thought from the description. Actual colors of items offered may vary from those shown here due to the nature of computer monitors and quality of the photograph. Paintings and hand crafted arts always look better in person! Artist retains all rights of original art works and graphics.

*REPAIRS:  Please contact me if there are any conservation questions or issues, or need of repair in the future of HAND CRAFTED OR ART items as there is no charge for such service. I ask only that you pay for any extra needed supplies and shipping. Household pets will likely be attracted to items made from natural materials and may try to "re-decorate" them for you. I can do my best to reconstruct or remake special and spiritual items in such cases. Please try to keep herbal and animal based items away from children and pets.
